problem
Most gallery visits are stalled by "placard fatigue"—dry, academic text that’s hard to read and harder to connect with.
solution
Atelier replaces these static barriers with immersive artist stories and audio narratives, making complex art feel personal and approachable.
Atelier connects gallery visitors with the stories, processes, and people behind the world's most compelling art. Atelier was born from a simple observation: museum galleries are often silent, but the art within them has a loud, untold story. While most visitors struggle with "placard fatigue"—the disconnect caused by dry, academic text—I saw an opportunity to use technology to humanize the experience. By meticulously researching how visitors interact with physical space, I developed a platform that bridges the gap between the viewer and the creator.

Throughout the design process, I focused on turning "information" into "narrative." I integrated AR-driven 3D mapping and immersive audio to replace static placards, ensuring the UI remained invisible so the art could stay center stage. The goal was to empower visitors to see beyond the canvas and into the artist's hands, making complex gallery spaces feel personal and approachable.
Since its prototype launch, Atelier has transformed the way users engage with cultural heritage. By shifting the focus from academic dates to human stories, the platform has fostered deeper emotional connections between audiences and the arts. Atelier continues to push the boundaries of environmental design, proving that digital tools don't have to distract from the real world—they can deepen our presence within it.
